Send a correction, or ask what a page left out

One address, read by a person, and corrections take priority over everything else in it.

Where to write

Write to [email protected]. It is read by a person, and a message that says a fact on this site is wrong goes to the front of the queue.

There is no form on this page and no mailing list behind it. We do not collect email addresses and there is nothing to subscribe to, so the only thing that happens when you write is that somebody writes back.

What is most useful to send

Corrections travel fastest when they carry the page and the sentence. The three we most want to hear about:

  • A price that has moved. Every price on this site carries the day it was read off the seller's own page; sellers change them without notice and we would rather hear it from you than find it in six months.
  • A quotation that has changed. If an examining body or a seller has reworded a page we quote, tell us which one.
  • A link that goes somewhere it should not, including any outbound link that is not clearly marked where it is paid.

What we cannot do

We cannot answer individual study-plan questions, review your Anki deck, or tell you whether you will pass a particular JLPT sitting. We are not affiliated with the Japan Foundation, Japan Educational Exchanges and Services, or any test centre, so we cannot help with registration, results, certificates or anything else administrative — those go to the organisers through jlpt.jp and, for the United States, the body that runs the test there.

We also do not take guest posts, link placements or sponsored articles, and we do not publish anything written by a company about its own product. If that is what you are writing about, this is a short conversation.

Business enquiries

Affiliate programme managers, publishers and examining bodies can use the same address. Anything that would change what appears on a page — a placement, a rate, a review request — is declined by default and, if it ever were not, would be disclosed on the page about how this site earns before it went live.
